จะมีงานเทศกาลประจำปีในเดือนตุลาคม เขาชอบดูงานเทศกาลทุก ๆ ครั้งที่พ่อขับรถผ่าน วันนึง ซันต้องกลับบ้านเอง เขาก็เลยเดินเข้าไปเที่ยวในงาน เขาดูตื่นเต้น มีเสียงเพลงดังทุกที่ มีคนเดินเที่ยวในงาน ในงานมีของกินของใช้มากมาย

In Sun’s city,
there would be an annual festival in October. He liked looking at the festival every time his dad drove pass it. One day, Sun had to came back home by himself, so he walked and roamed in the festival. He looked excited. There was loud music everywhere. People were wandering around in the event. There were plenty of consumer products.
ซันได้ยินเสียงเชียร์ดังอยู่ไม่ไกล เขาก็เลยเดินตามเสียงไป เขาเห็นถังไม้สูงใหญ่
Sun dâay-yin sǐaŋ chia daŋ yùu mây klay, kháw kɔ̂ɔ-ləəy dəən taam sǐaŋ pay. kháw hěn thǎŋ máy sǔuŋ yày.
Sun heard the loud cheers not far away, so he followed the sound. He saw a huge tall wooden barrel.
ซันเดินขึ้นไปด้านบน เขาเห็นคนขับรถมอเตอร์ไซค์ และรถยนต์ไต่วนถังไม้ เขาตื่นเต้นมาก
Sun dəən khɨ̂n pay dâan bon. kháw hěn khon khàp rót-mɔɔtəəsay lǽ rót-yon tày won thǎŋ máay. kháw tɨ̀ɨn-tên mâak.
Sun walked up to the top. He saw people drove motorcycles and a car along the vertical wall. He was very excited.
ซันเดินต่อเข้าไปในงาน
เขาซื้อขนมสายไหม หลังจากนั้นเขาเห็นคนเล่นเกมตักปลา เขาเห็นปลาตัวเล็ก ตัวใหญ่ ว่ายน้ำไปมา
Sun dəən tɔ̀ɔ kháw pay nay ŋaan
kháw sɨ́ɨ khanǒm-sǎay-mǎy. lǎŋ càak nán kháw hěn khon lên keem ták plaa. kháw hěn plaa tua lék, tua yày wâay-náam pay maa.
He kept walking further in the festival
He bought a cotton candy. After that, he saw some people playing scooping fish game. He saw small fish and big fish swimming back and forth.
เจ้าของร้านตักปลา เห็นซันยืนดูอยู่ ก็เลยชวนซันมาตักปลา แต่ว่าซันไม่อยากเล่น เขาขอบคุณเจ้าของร้านและเดินต่อไป
câw-khɔ̌ɔŋ ráan tàk plaa hěn Sun yɨɨn duu yùu, kɔ̂ɔ-ləəy chuan Sun maa tàk plaa. tæ̀æ-wâa Sun mây yàak lên. kháw khɔ̀ɔpkhun câw-khɔ̌ɔŋ ráan lǽ dəən tɔ̀ɔ-pay.
The owner of the scooping fish booth saw Sun standing and watching, so he invited Sun to come and scoop the fish. But Sun did not want to play. He thanked the owner and kept walking.

He walked over and stopped at a giant whale doll in front of a balloon darts game booth. The owner told Sun that 7 darts for 20 baht.
ถ้าปาลูกโป่งแตกได้เจ็ดใบซันจะได้ตุ๊กตาวาฬตัวใหญ่กลับบ้าน
thâa paa lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk dâay 7 bay, Sun ca dâay túkkataa waan tua yày klàp bâan.
If (he) could break 7 balloons, he would get a giant whale doll home.
ซันจ่ายเงิน 20 บาท เขาปาลูกดอกทั้งหมด 7 ดอก
Sun càay ŋən 20 bàat. kháw paa lûuk-dɔ̀ɔk tháŋ-mòt 7 dɔ̀ɔk
Sun paid 20 baht. He threw all his 7 darts.
แต่เขาปาลูกโป่งแตกใบเดียว
tæ̀æ kháw paa lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk bay diaw
but he broke only one balloon.
เจ้าของร้านให้ตุ๊กตาเป็ดตัวเล็กกับเขา ซันบอกว่าพรุ่งนี้เขาจะมาใหม่ เพราะเขาอยากได้ตุ๊กตาวาฬตัวใหญ่
cáw-khɔ̌ɔŋ ráan hây túkkataa pèt tua lék kàp kháw. Sun bɔ̀ɔk wâa phrûŋ-níi kháw ca maa mày phrɔ́ kháw yàak dâay túkkataa waan tua yàay.
The owner of the booth gave him a small duck doll. Sun said that he will come back tomorrow, because he wanted the giant whale doll.
วันต่อมา
หลังเลิกเรียน ซันเดินไปร้านปาลูกโป่ง ซันจ่ายเงิน 20 บาท ครั้งนี้เขาปาลูกโป่งแตก 4 ใบ

lǎŋ lə̂ək rian, Sun dəən pay ráan-paa-lûuk-pòoŋ. Sun càay ŋən 20 bàat. khráŋ níi kháw paa lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk 4 bay.
The next day
After school, Sun walked to the balloon darts game booth. He paid 20 baht and this time he broke 4 balloons.
เจ้าของร้านให้ตุ๊กตาตัวใหญ่กว่าครั้งก่อน เจ้าของร้านพูดว่า พรุ่งนี้เป็นวันสุดท้ายของเทศกาล ซันยังคิดถึงตุ๊กตาวาฬตัวใหญ่ที่ร้านปาลูกโป่ง

The booth’s owner gave him a bigger doll than last time. The owner said that tomorrow is the last day of the festival. Sun still thought of the giant whale doll at the booth.

ซันเดินไปร้านปาลูกโป่งอีกครั้ง ครั้งนี้เป็นโอกาสสุดท้ายของเขา เพราะพรุ่งนี้จะไม่มีงานเทศกาลแล้ว

The last day of the festival
Sun walked to the balloon darts game booth again. This time was his last chance because tomorrow there would not be festival anymore.
ซันปาลูกดอกไปแล้ว 6 ดอก และลูกโป่งแตกไปแล้ว 6 ใบ ถ้าเขาปาดอกสุดท้ายโดนลูกโป่งแตก เขาจะได้ตุ๊กตาวาฬตัวใหญ่กลับบ้าน ซันปาดอกสุดท้าย และหลับตา เพราะเขาไม่กล้าดูว่าลูกโป่งแตกไหม
Sun paa lûuk-dɔ̀ɔk pay lǽæw hòk dɔ̀ɔk, lǽ lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk pay lǽæw hòk bay. thâa kháw paa dɔ̀ɔk sùt-tháay doon lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk, kháw ca dâay túkkataa waan tua yày klàp bâan. Sun paa dɔ̀ɔk sùt-tháay lǽ làp taa, phrɔ́ kháw mây klâa duu wâa lûuk-pòoŋ tæ̀æk máy.
He had already thrown 6 darts and had broken 6 balloons. If he could land his last dart and break the balloon, he would get the giant whale doll home. He threw the last dart and closed his eyes because he did not dare to see if the balloon was broken.
พอเขาลืมตา เจ้าของร้านให้ตุ๊กตาวาฬตัวใหญ่กับเขา เขารับตุ๊กตาวาฬจากเจ้าของร้าน ในที่สุดเขาก็ได้ตุ๊กตาวาฬกลับบ้าน
phɔɔ kháw lɨɨm taa, cáw-khɔ̌ɔŋ ráan hây túkkataa waan tua yày kàp kháw. kháw ráp túkkataa waan càak câw khɔ̌ɔŋ ráan. nay thîi-sùt kháw kɔ̂ɔ dâay túkkataa waan klàp bâan.
When he opened his eyes, the owner gave him the giant whale doll. He received it the whale doll from the owner. Finally, he got the whale doll home.
