There are two common words to say bring in Thai. The first one is เอา (ʔaw) and the second one is พา (phaa). You need to follow the structures below to use these words.
เอา (ʔaw)…มา (maa) = to bring something
You use this when you say you bring something or an animal with you.
Structure(1): เอา (ʔaw) + something + มา (maa)l
เพื่อน อยาก เอา กีตาร์ มา ที่นี่
– phɨ̂an yàak ʔaw kiitâa maa thîi-nîi.
– My friend wants to bring a guitar here.
ผม เอา ไวน์ มา
– phǒm ʔaw waay maa.
– I bring the wine (with me).
คุณ เอา ร่ม มา ไหม
– khun ʔaw rôm maa máy.
– Do you bring an umbrella (with you)?
เขา เอา หมา มา ด้วย
– kháw ʔaw mǎa maa dûay.
– She brings her dog (with her) as well.
เอา (ʔaw) … ไป (pay) = to bring something to
Use this when you say you bring or take something or an animal somewhere or to do something somewhere.
Structure(2): เอา (ʔaw) + something + ไป (pay)
เขา เอา รถ ไป ซ่อม
– kháw ʔaw rót pay sɔ̂m
– He takes a car to repair.
ฉัน เอา คอมพิวเตอร์ ไป ร้านกาแฟ
– chán ʔaw computer pay ráan-kaafææ
– I take a computer to a coffee shop.
เรา จะ เอา หมา ไป หา หมอ
– raw ca ʔaw mǎa pay hǎa mɔ̌ɔ.
– We will take a dog to see a vet.
คุณ เอา โทรศัพท์ ผม ไป ใช่ไหม
– khun ʔaw thoorasàp phǒm pay chây-máy.
– You took my phone, right?

พา (phaa)…มา (maa) = to bring someone
Use when you bring a person or an animal with you. Therefore, you can use both เอา (ʔaw) and พา (phaa) to bring a pet or an animal.
Structure(3): พา (phaa) + someone + มา (maa)
ผม อยาก พา คุณ มา บ้าน
– phǒm yàak phaa khun maa bâan.
– I want to bring you to my home.
คุณ จะ พา เขา มา ไหม
– khun ca phaa kháw maa máy.
– Will you bring her (with you)?
เขา พา แมว มา ที่นี่
– kháw phaa mææw maa thîi-nîi.
– She brings a cat (with her) here.
ฉัน ไม่ได้ พา ลูก มา ด้วย
– chán mây-dâay phaa lûuk maa dûay.
– I did not bring my kids (with me).

Structure(4): พา (phaa) + someone + ไป (pay)
ผม พา ภรรยา ไป กิน ข้าวเย็น
– phǒm phaa phanrayaa pay kin khâaw-yen.
– I take my wife for dinner.
ฉัน พา หมา ไป เดิน เล่น ทุกวัน
– chán phaa mǎa pay dəən lên thúk wan.
– I take my dog for a walk every day.
เขา พา ลูก ไป โรงเรียน
– kháw phaa lûuk pay rooŋ-rian.
– She takes her kid to school.
เรา จะ พา แมว ไป โรงพยาบาล
– raw ca phaa mææw pay rooŋ-phayaabaan
– We will take our cat to a hospital.
